Dermal injectable fillers
As we age, our facial skin and soft tissues undergo the "3 Ds" of aging: Deterioration (wrinkles, pores, texture, loss of collagen, brown and red pigmentation); Descent (droopiness of the soft tissues), and Deflation (loss of volume of the supportive structures that provide the contours of a youthful face).
To achieve a complete facial rejuvenation, all three of the above components are addressed with the combination therapy which we playfully call the Triple-Play FaceLift an exciting new non-surgical treatment that can achieve comprehensive rejuvenation of the entire face.
Twenty years ago, if you wanted to get rid of wrinkly, sagging skin, there was basically one way to do it - going under the knife for a face-lift. But today, we have many modalities of treatments to address each of the “3 Ds".
Deterioration of the surface of the skin is treated with energy devices such as lasers, IPL, radiofrequency, and other skin treatments such as Revivify.
The second D is Descent which can be addressed with thread suspension technique together with energy treatments such as laser and radiofrequency for skin tightening. If it is too severe, surgery is the only solution.
Finally, Deflation can be mostly addressed with revolutionization with dermal fillers.
The Triple-Play FaceLift involves a combination of all of the 3 types of treatments to address all the “3 Ds".
The choice of dermal filler is very important depending on the areas that are being injected and corrected. It's essential to know which filler is being used, as with everything else, the right filler should be used with the right application. This obviously comes with professional training.
Types of Dermal Fillers
-
HYALURONIC ACID is a naturally occurring substance in the body that is lost with aging. Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers are various such as Juvéderm, Belotero, Revanesse Versa, etc.. They add volume to the facial structures, are very hydrophilic, and look very natural. Hyaluronic acid fillers typically can be used anywhere where you want to restore volume including the lower lid and the lips.

RADIESSE This unique dermal filler is based on microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite, a substance found in our bones. It has a significant volumizing and lifting capacity as well as a bio-stimulating effect such that, once injected it continues to work to stimulate the body to produce its natural collagen and elastin. As a matter of fact, in a more diluted form, Radiesse can be used for its bio stimulating effect to stimulate collagen and elastin in a broader section area of the skin in different parts of the body.

What To Expect
DURING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR FILLER TREATMENT
-
Local numbing medication may be used to maximize your comfort during the procedure.
-
Bruising at the side of injection is a commonly reported side effect when needles are used. To minimize swelling and the chances of bruising, Dr. Diaz-Yoserev uses a special advanced technique with a blunt tip cannula.
-
A temporary amount of mild to moderate swelling can be expected. This should dissipate following injection.
-
It is normal to experience some tenderness at the treatment site for a few days.

Post Treatment Care
-
Application of an ice pack or cold compress to the injection area after treatment to help minimize swelling.
-
It is normal to feel "firmness" in your injection area for the first few days after treatment. Over time, the area will soften, leaving you with a natural looking result. Make up may be applied shortly after treatment, using gentle application.
-
The injection area may be gently washed a few hours after treatment. Avoid aggressive scraping or rubbing.
-
Sunbathing or excessive UV exposure should be avoided until the redness or swelling has subsided.
