​A Public Defender that handles over a 100 cases has only so much time in a work day and your calls (and your case) are often answered and attended to “in the order which they were received.”  On the other hand, hiring a divorce attorney or civil lawyer to handle your criminal case is like go to the eye doctor to have a tooth pulled… the results aren’t pretty.

But there’s another choice.

A careful review of the evidence in your case by an experienced criminal defense attorney may reveal defenses that weren’t immediately apparent to you, your family, or to your friends.

I have been practicing State and Federal criminal defense work since 1987 and have represented hundreds of clients from their initial appearance to arraignment to trial.

I handle all of my cases myself.

I don’t ask paralegals or secretaries to do the “heavy lifting” and I don’t pay other lawyers to show up in court on my behalf.  I’ll take your calls and give your case my personal attention.

I’ve been a member of the Florida Bar since 1987 and have practiced criminal defense law since that time.  I graduated from the University of Miami in 1980 and from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 1986.  I’m admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (1986), the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (2003), and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida (2005).  I’m presently a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

In Florida state courts, the stakes are high.  Prosecutors methodically build cases using high-tech surveillance, cooperating witnesses, confidential informants, and experienced law enforcement agencies.

After all, this isn’t Iran, Venezuela, North Korea or Cuba.  Remember ― you’ve got certain, valuable rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.
